Abstract

The government of Bangladesh has taken many initiatives to transform Bangladesh into a developed country as per its Vision 2041.  Furthermore, the 4 pillars of Smart Citizens, Smart Government, Smart Economy, and Smart Society, were announced by the present government to scale up sustainable digital solutions for all citizens. to turn the aspiration into reality. Our human resources have to develop creativity and non-routine skills along with essential quality education. In our present education system, we are facing difficulties in creating coherence between the core international curricula and domestic education agenda while establishing a useful link between international and national education systems may create good opportunities for learners to learn from different worldwide experiences to foster their global citizenship skills. Our domestic education system from primary level to higher education should go through necessary changes and it should be digitalized following the global changes. We need a policy that will change the theme that education is not only for securing jobs and such policy will support learners to think critically, adopting and honing innovative skills. We are in the middle-developed country stage and, it is time to rise above the political agenda that will ensure quality digitalized education for the next generation.
