Abstract

To determine an educational goal in general, it is necessary to establish what kind of curriculum will be implemented in educational units. Therefore, before determining the type of curriculum, it is essential to first design the educational guidelines, which is referred to as curriculum design. The purpose of this research is to understand the curriculum design of education, specifically in Islamic Religious Education within the scope of madrasahs. The madrasahs here will be divided into three phases: Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Madrasah Tsanawiyah, and Madrasah Aliyah. This research uses a semantic literature review approach with a descriptive-analytical type. There are many curriculum designs that can be applied in madrasahs, such as Subject-Centered Design, Learner-Centered Design, Problem-Centered Design, Social Function Design, Core Curriculum Design, Integrated Curriculum Design, and Technology Curriculum Design. Among these many designs, each has its advantages and disadvantages. However, the right choice will certainly ensure that the learning process achieves its desired goals
